When did you start have fellings for sleaze/hair metal ?
JACKI: I have always listened to bands like GNR etc. since I was a kid. But I guess i got into that kinda music a bit more in like 2004.
Do you feel you got the musical respect in USA for your great music ?
JACKI: Absolutely! We just got off our first full length U.S tour since 2007 and it was great! We love being on tour and everyone that came out to our shows seemed to like it! Thanks all VOJ fans!
Sweden have a lot of great sleaze/hair metal bands these years. My personlly top 3 is only bands from sweden included Vains Of Jenna. What do you think is the reason for that ?
JACKI: Hmm, well Sweden has always had great bands. The "Sleaze" scene got really big around the time CrashDiet came along and many bands have followed since. Then you have bands like Backyard Babies and Hardcore Superstar that showed the way even before CrashDiet.
You just named the 2 other bands in my top 3. Tell us about your new album.
JACKI: We released it in september this year, It's called "The Art Of Telling Lies". I think it's a great album. It's got some good ol' classic rock feeling to it, with other songs that's more funky, more pop, etc.
Who write the songs on the new album ?
JACKI: Nicki wrote most part of the songs and Lizzy wrote amazing lyrics. JP n me came in with our straight ideas and that is pretty much how we worked this time!
Do you live in USA or Sweden and what is the future plans ?.
JACKI: Right now we are in the U.S. It's from here we work and based our career from.
Do you plan a tour in Europe to promote the new album ?.
JACKI: We did tour Europe last year and earlier this year. We will see if we can get the CD out and have some promotion in Europe for it and hopefully we can come over and tour Europe soon again!
Name some bands who inspire you and what do you listen to yourself ?.
JACKI: Wow... Well the first band I really got into was Nirvana. Other bands that I listen to a lot are MUSE, the Stones, The Who etc. So many bands inspires me... I listen to all kinds of music. To mention some I think Jay-z is great, Rihanna, Lady Ga Ga and many more. I think it's just a good thing to listen to all kinds of genres... That
way you can get inspiration to write even better songs.
Can you tell us your story about the fight with the Cradle Of Filth Tour Manager ?
JACKI: haha... to make a long story short... We shared a dressing room at a show, Nicki and JP wanted to go in there with to girls and the COF tour manager was an ass and slammed the door in their face and after that there was a fight.. But it's all good now, hehe.
You played with a lot of great great "old" bands. How is it to tour with a band you listen to all your life ?
JACKI: It is very cool... Some of the stuff we've done is very amazing! The Poison/Ratt tour was a dream come true... Playing Arenas etc. was amazing. The tour we just finished here, we co-headlined clubs all over the country with Dirty Penny! They are the best guys... We had such a blast with them every night!
I saw you a couple of times and everytime you came out to your fans on the floor after the show and write autograph and more. Not many bands does that, so why do you guys do it ?
JACKI: Without the fans we would be nothing. We appreciate our fans so much!!!! Of course we gonna show them some love every night.
